Free Laptop Nation, another scam?

I was listening to the radio on the way to the grocery store this past weekend and heard another amazing commercial telling me that I can get a free laptop by going to the website: Free Laptop Nation! I was like, no way, there going to just give me a free laptop? I wrote a blog post about a sister site of free laptop nation called, I want My Free Laptop .com. That post has been blowing up with people wondering if the site is really a scam or not, the post has over 36 posts, most from people saying they are poor or in college and really want their free laptop that these commercials are offering.

These sites are typical 1990's internet schemes, and I can't believe they are still around and actually advertising on the radio. The general theme is that they have many offers that you can complete, from signing up for credit cards, to signing up for subscription offers. For everything that you sign up for, most of which cost you money, they get a commission. They then use that commission to buy you a laptop and keep the remaining commission left over. However, it takes a massive amount of offers to actually qualify for them to send you a free laptop.

Free laptops sound nice and dandy, but it would probably be easier for you to get a job and buy a nice $600 laptop from dell.com. The site is usually a scam and please don't write comments asking where you can get a free laptop, because you simple can't. There is no such thing as a free laptop, sorry to inform you.

You have to buy items from 12 companies to get your free laptop. They do it in 3 stages, so you do not know what comes next. You can only cancel 2 of the items, and still be eligible for the free laptop. By the time you buy all these items, you could have bought a nice laptop, and not waited months for it. My wife attempted to get the free laptop, but when the buying hit the 2nd stage, she looked further into it, and backed out.

I don't think I ever joined "Free Offer" websites. However, I do know one person who did. Unfortunately, he won once out of many many attempts. There should be a website that actually investigates good offer websites and advertises them.

That's peculiar. I get so tired of being bombarded with scams and non dank transactions trying to get my money and give me nothing. Funny to think how many people respond to that crap. They must be getting enough people to sign up to warrant running the ads. The masses are asses.

I knew that this had to be too good to be true. It's the scams where they tell you they give you free ringtones , only to find that you are saddled with a huge bill. Thanks for calling a spade a spade.

I heard the commercial for freelaptopnation.com yesterday when i was working on my truck, so I had to check it out. when i went there, my McAfee went bolistic. It said there are like 30 pop-ups, a billion (bad)cookies and if you enter your email, you should be getting about 58 SPAM emails a day, or something along those lines.... So ya, just from that I think it is a scam.

My brother processed something like this. But he filled out 16 online surveys and had to pay the shipping and handling. He got himself a new acer laptop and also did the same for a Phillips mp3 player. I guess it just depends on what the offers are. Some of the offers are okay but some aren't. Basically if you want a free laptop you just have to remind yourself 30 days or less from the time you started the survey you paid out you need to cancel so that you won't get charged.
